We need to know what the value of our tokens are. As collateral for solvency it made sense. Now it appears we hold a gas token for a network that isn't even aimed at us and doesn't actually REQUIRE the gas token for transactions but is just incentivized.

From my understanding, you should think of Jibrel as a smart contract R&D company. They use ethereum right now because it's the best option, but in the future they will switch to any new technology that becomes standard

Thanks for your help... But what I meant is that a backup seed/mnemonic is not quite a p-key. So if you need it it's a little bit more difficult than with wallets where you can export it directly. ... but it's not that I think that would be an important function for jwallet, so nevermind.

I do not. I was speaking generally—hence why I chose the words 'a coin' rather than referingto Jibrel by name. I think Kucoin is not banking on treams having active involvement in projects. In fact, I'd argue most people who are trading on Kucoin don't particpate in TG and things like that. I miagine that Kucoin operates under the assumption that most projects are built mostly on hype and have dev teams waiting to dump, hence why they'd pay $25k per month.

Also I have a problem with jwallet, when I try to send eth out I run out of gas with the 21000, but if I put a custom amount of gas, like 42000, the transaction isn't sent to the blockchain for some reason so now my eth is stuck

We’re working on improving the UI, we noticed the problem and talked to the devs, but I should’ve thought of communicating the fix. Thank you for the comment and your feedback, we hope you will like the next releases and have a better user experience.

Yes problems are to be expected with new releases, luckily I didn't have all my funds on jwallet as that would have been a really unpleasant experience. If you need some details of what happened: preset priorities always resulted in running out of gas, custom priority has placeholders for gas price/ limit which is confusing, I'M still not sure if gas price is gwei or wei, sending a custom priority transaction is shown as pending and doesn't show up on ethscan( not sure if it was actually not working or I was just putting in bad values because I didn't understand the UI)

The token has not worked out the way it was envisioned originally, but almost every startup pivots some way. The majority of ICOs I've been following are either pivoting or dieing. They are being upfront about it, and if you still believe in the team (which is what you should invest in, not a token) you should let them find a solution that they think will work.

I agree, the potential might be bigger with JNT being used for on-chain solvency. But you have to be realistic about it. If Jibrel already has significant doubts about its functionality, banks and institutions will certainly not adopt it, especially if they are not legally allowed to do so.

Let’s assume 190M JNT are locked by liquidity providers so only 10M are left on the market, JNT would be very vulnerable for price manipulation because if someone sells 1-5M JNT into the circulating supply of 10M, it could dump the price really hard so that the 190M locked JNT woun’t be sufficient for a full coverage. I'll be the devil's advocate here, but I had multiple contacts with kucoin suport and they always solved my problems, caused mostly by me, and it's their right to ask for a fee as jnt wasn't really bringing volume to their platform while they had to do maintenance on the pairs

To be honest, they were able to give me back a considerable amount of ETH that was sent to their address instead of mine, it took them over 2 months to do so but they did. That being said, the amounts they were asking were too high for maintenance, but I guess that's just how businesses work and their model didn't fit ours.

I think it looks great, it’s minimalistic and easy to navigate, but I would like to see more functionalities. I know it is work in progress, but as a verified Jcash user I would like to do Jcash<>Eth within the wallet. Also having actual fiat off/on ramp would be huge.
