2. Something something something... Details are hazy but nobody is going to tokenize $250m. Instead, the $250m will be used to provide liquidity. To be a liquidity provider requires you to have at least 1m jnt tokens, which would probably cost like $30-50k at the current market price... So the $250m, if we think about it, is probably not going to be used to provide liquidity... Maybe a fraction of it, like $50-100k, but I basically see that as effectively zero.

This has been strongly discouraged by the community in the past, I would hope they have bigger plans for their token than gas. They have, regulation doesn't allow any bigger vision currently. They still have UAE on lock, with pilots under NDA, some we know about are Al Hilal Bank and Central Bank of Jordan. Using cryptocurrencies for their b2b is currently not allowed by regulation, which they think will get better. B2C is currently meh, with mobile wallets, and now they are working on web wallet. Jcash is a big question mark, it will not be backed but there has also been no apparent progress since soft launch, not even the proof of solvency page has been updated

quite the opposite... traditionally chinese new year is considered as a luck bringing time for investments in china. so a small uptick could be possible, although i wouldnt count on it in that nuclear winter bear market.

my private little theory is that bitcoin prices are artificially held low by big mining corporations wanting to dry out the field by selling below production cost to get a better market position in the long run. that has been my guess ever since 5k fell but didnt lead to a overall reduction in total hash power that would make mining profitable for most. also there is an increase in shadow miners which otherwise would be totally unlogical in a market like that. there is 1800 btc mined and immediatly put on the market daily, which means 6-7 mio $ have to be put in every day just to keep the price level. so as long as there is no substancial adoption (either through big institutions or through masses of people - which both seems incredibly unlikely to me) news wont have an effect on the price... my guess is we stay at current levels +/- 2000 till btc halfing, which obviously will have a big impact on a price made by miners.

We are in talks with institutions and developing the protocol that would allow those conversions, and I believe it should be on a case-by-case basis in terms of who's doing the conversion and where. The plan is to integrate JNT in those use-cases as well.

As many of you know, many of ICO participants in 2017/2018 were tech savvy millenial/ gen z participants who were (at large) not that well-informed of market structures and risk management; me being one of them. Many projects that appeared legit ended up as scams and people ran away with money and pump and dump schemes were prevalent- but slowly started to disappear. 2018 presented me with many challenges in which I had to put in a lot of work in order to stay on top of the game and become even more involved in the blockchain space. The more I spend time in the space the more I am confident of the things it will disrupt. Joining Jibrel at the end of 2018 gave me a motivation to work even harder and have an impact on the future of the space; at a time were fear, uncertaintiy, and doubt are very high: at Jibrel we are keeping our heads down and are excited to bring back the interest to the space through offering suitable and relevant use-cases. I know the community has been very quiet, but as Pomp said once : "Bear markets get rid of the tourists, so the talent can focus." I'm looking forward to working with the talented team and engaging the community to focus and deliver results in 2019 and beyond😉

Here is some feedback that I hope the team will consider: This Team Tuesday feature comes across as quite flat. I am not sure if there is a language barrier or what, but as a native English speaker these seem like the sort of shallow responses a 12-year-old would give on his first book report. There is no detail, nothing is explained or elaborated upon, the answers are all generic and do not give us any insight into David as a person or as a crypto marketing expert whatsoever. This is how I have felt about every Team Tuesday and generally how I feel about most of the "daily" features. You guys should consider if they are doing more harm than good to your image. Either elaborate and take more than 2 minutes to generate thoughtful, engaging responses that clearly demonstrate the team's prowess, or consider abandoning this daily approach entirely. I do not think it is engaging the community successfully and it may be putting people off. I do appreciate the attempt, and maybe others feel differently. Just my 2 cents. Also, I hate to keep harping on this but where exactly are we headed as far as use cases? Are there any ideas or plans? And what happened to SEED? I feel like we had a much clearer day to day picture in 2018. Last year Tal was regularly diving into the Telegram showing photos of events and talks and meetings and presentations. It seemed like there was just nonstop action and that he was on a flight to some major event almost every week. That has completely dried up on our end. I'm not asking for them to be online 24/7 but if we could just get some sort of 20 minute interaction with Tal and Yaz every 2-3 weeks it would be great. I can only hope that they are still doing the same things behind closed doors, and that we are making legit progress behind NDAs. I understand that we are in the worst bear market the space has seen. But the sudden lack of a clear use case, the apparent disappearance of SEED's backing this project, the mysterious tweet of a big partnership that was later deleted, the constant progress by other companies in the specific geographic region that we assumed Jibrel had locked down as first movers-- all of this stuff has left a lot of us early investors confused and without much confidence. It's clear that the team is intelligent and that they are business savvy and somewhat connected in MENA. By cashing out the ico ETH they have set themselves up for several years. I believe in the company long term but am wavering on how the JNT token will survive and be useful. Some reassurance would be nice.

Elaborating for the sake of discussion: I think this "layer two scaling" stuff misses the forest for the trees. It's a bandaid, you know? Instead of thinking "the protocol is fundamentally slow, we should build something on top of the protocol that is fast", it should be "how can we fix these fundamental problems?". It's not like the internet was built on some fundamentally slow technology with a faster layer on top; the lower layers of the stack are instead what move fastest. Much easier said than done, I know! But I think it's doable.

While I agree that more focus should be placed upon fixing the base layers (which I believe is in the works), developing multiple layers on top of a very secure base layer can make sense in the short-medium turn, until better fundamental solutions are found. I don't know... I don't think it is fair to say that they don't care about it because as they said themselves they told family/friends to buy so there's sort of a mental burden for the financial well being of your loved ones. On the flip-side if we went to the moon I know they would be ecstatic. I think it would be more accurate to say, they care about price but they know that there is nothing they can currently do about it other then back end development and trying to further some of these pilots they have going which could lead to a proper 'foot in the door'. Unless they find a proper use-case which, imo, won't make the price budge much since most people are part of the herd and not dyor'ers. They could develop some more aggressive marketing tactics but that is against their fundamentals and might not lead to a sustainable gain. Unfortunately I'm not sure we will see a change in trend until the general sentiment of the market begins to turn around. On the bright side it's always a good opportunity to lower your average buy. We're all in the same boat and it's going to be a long trip across the Cryplantic Ocean but, we have plenty of food in reserves and I don't see us sinking anytime soon.

@ttabbaa it is true that FIs and banking institutions was staying away from digital assets however it appears that FIs will likely start to custody digital assets in 2019 - 2020. You not going to get any real information because it's at pre-infancy stage. There's no MVP in sight yet, because the long term vision is currently undeliverable due to regulations in most countries not being clear and private sector not willing to transact. They didn't think it would be that much of an issue, or that it would be resolved by the time they ready to integrate, due to the partnerships they had lined up. Which is clearly not the case as most/all refused to use tokens citing regulations. Because of this they had no short term actionable plans in terms of usability and utility increase, so they are scrambling now - as poor as it might sound. So whatever they were doing 2 months ago, even if they told you, it might not have been relevant now. And same if they give you update now about what they doing for next 6 months ,it might become irrelevant in 3 months. Of course besides the long term core deliverables like jsearch/jnode and doing pilots not using tokens for their partners, among other odd blockchain work for them. Which is a good way to maintain partnership tbh and gain trust and prove competency, until legislation improves and they manage to push through with one of these clients who will be willing to take a leap of faith based on the trust they built up after regulations clear up. And others might follow suite, dependendly on how it works out. However you look at it it's a thorny battle ahead, it all boils down what you think of the team, their long term vision, and what they have done so far in terms of the project and partnerships and if you think it's utiliseable and transferable in the future.

You make some important points but other teams (where YAZ at?) are executing by getting actual working products in front of their targeted markets, us not so much but legal context is what is more important, i.e., are we allowed to market and are targeted users allowed to use what we make and market? If the answer is "no" and if the answer was also "no" last year, then, we (this project) have a huge problem (hint: utility) ... furthermore, I will continue to (strongly) make the case that the project is grossly over-funded for whatever the team could possibly think up next and thus has plenty of room to be self-sustaining for easily 18-24months (more than that means we have no clue) and still "price manage" as others have also cited here ... again, special and/or regular cash dividends can be paid to token Jwallet holders of a "record-date" ... fees earned from consulting can also be paid out to token holders ... funds can also be earmarked to put a floor in the token price or an auction declared, i.e., $1mio ... we surely still have $27-28mio left ... even if we are burning $250'000/month today, that still leaves us with plenty of firepower to leverage the balance sheet and not be a savings bank ... finally, can someone put together a competitive matrix to help differentiate our proposed offering from others (this is done in every industry to help market your offering) ... In terms of utility I am not worried though as that's the short/medium term, when legislation comes in - and it will, in relevant jurisdictions, they will be able to operate quickly by leveraging existing partnerships which they are now supporting by doing their bidding at a loss short term - not utilising tokens, but hopefully building trust and proving competency so that these partners would have no trouble to start utilising tokens once there's a greenlight from their legal department due to clearer regulations. But of course that means short/medium term there is no utility at all, except speculative trading by people based on the future events, which I wouldn't call a utility to be fair. Managing price and doing a token burn buy backs, as well as paying dividends to jwallet holders (giving incentive for retail investors to up the utility) is an interesting suggestion, but I think and hope we will be able to do a bit better with the short term. Whilst I can see how it can be appealing to some long term holders who held from beginning and saw nothing but 10x+ drop who stopped DCAing long long time ago, and I am sure to other people too, I would rather they not waste the ICO money on doing buy backs or use as a cash pot for dividends. This way they can burn through the pot very quickly, especially as it's not clear if and how much they are adding from these pilots, which I would assume they actually aren't - and more like are shelling out from it themselves / at most breaking even with some. I would prefer them being more careful with the cash pot having firepower for much longer if things go south, so they could keep working on it, and with any extra funds added increase the team. One thing I am not exactly happy now that I mention it is team size, distribution and world-quality. It potentially could be because they are not willing to shell out as much as other projects do but i think it's crucial they don't try saving on the team members especially at C-level like CMO etc. They need to bring a whole department in for that, or a person who can recruit at full autonomy such department. Lots of fine points ... where to begin? ... lol ... but fact remains we are a CAll Option today ... no intrinsic value aside from our cash position ... meaning, tic-toc, tic-toc, with every passing week of burn-rate the token is worth less ... the brand itself is really scarred as are the investors ... if we are not willing to defend investors with asymmetrical and out-of-the-box thinking, today, while we have the means, especially, those ICO investors who found themselves without utility, then, not cool ... the opportunity cost has been a huge hit ... the project can do lots to help manage values without losing a beat or compromising the venture ... I've heard excuses for a long, long time now but not a single action taken to defend investors ... and yes, of course, "working hard" is good and all, although, personally, I like my entrepreneurs who do not need to "work hard" and still get it done ... so, again, let's be realistic about our situation and open-minded about solutions ... again, I'd appreciate a "shout-out" from key partners from time-to-time, e.g., SAEED, JABBAR, any bank, and from key stakeholders ... looking at you, Victor! The articles aren't that bad of an idea but the timing to do blockchain articles is horrendous. You aren't making it cleat what's happening with the products, where the company is going. I follow this project everyday and I don't know how Jcash works, nobody does. And you put a green tick to Jcash in monthly updates like it is done.

Yes, came for the tokenization but still remaining to defend my not small investment ... so, then, Sir, to your point, If the company wants to return to its "roots" of being finance industry consultants (like it slowly seems) I would support that, that is, where JIBREL helps develop smart contracts for banks and others but ONLY on the condition that the fees & monies & whatever else earned are then paid out as "income" to token holders as and when the fees are earned ... they can be paid into Jwallet to help adoption ... but IF the company is earning fees today and NOT making a distribution, then, I call FOUL ... I do not find that correct but ... I do not know how these actions are being handled today ... btw where YAZAN at?

Those pain points and concerns are all valid and are aknowledged by the team and me personally. In terms of changing my communication, I welcome any suggestions you can make about it because I believe I am trying my best to be as transparent and responsive, as well as delivering all your messages and your suggestions to the team, which I have been constantly trying to do. I will try to push for more clarity but I want to request something from you as well; some patience and understanding that we are positioning ourselves in the space in a strategic way to have the products and services that will be adopted when the technology becomes more commercially viable and the addressable market is bigger. Our pilots are tests for technological viability and our next step is commercialization, I know it has taken time, but how many companies and startups achieve great status within 1 year? Some do, of course, but in our space almost 1 of every 500 startups have done that, maybe less. I want us to be that 1/500 and do amazing, but we are facing roadblocks and ups and downs, which is normal, and all we can do is keep our heads down and show up when it matters the most.

In terms of the posted outdated roadmap, although it has some aspects of it that have not been completed yet, significant work has been done in domains such as developing the Jwallet, piloting bonds with banks, Jsearch (explorer) API is live and interface under development, the team is heavily growing (in times where so many other companies are cutting down on employees) so we are in a good position to develop the infrastructure needed to create value and utility for the evosystem.

@UppercaseK my friend, you are stating the obvious and those are things we are aware of and are actively trying to drastically improve and change- this is part of of starting a company, investing, and trying to innovate in a brand new space. The protocol for streaming content on the internet was available in the early 2000's, and it took 10-15 years to reach critical mass - with blockchain, our aim is to be one of the early disruptors and nail down the use cases that will reach the critical mass when possible. If you can point me to companies who have reached critical mass I will be grateful and I will take them as case-studies to try to improve the workflow at Jibrel. I can think of Coinbase, what else?
